How do I use it?

The Chargeman Max Adapter is a Tesla to J1772 adapter that allows you to charge non-Tesla electric vehicles (EVs) at Tesla Destination Chargers (also known as Tesla High Power Wall Connectors). To use this adapter, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your non-Tesla EV is parked close enough to the Tesla Destination Charger so that the charging cable can comfortably reach your car's charging port.
  2. Locate your EV's charging port, which is typically found on the side or front of the vehicle, depending on the make and model.
  3. Take the Chargeman Max Adapter and plug the Tesla-compatible end (usually oval-shaped) into the Tesla Destination Charger connector.
  4. Now, connect the J1772 end of the adapter (usually circular with a latch) to your non-Tesla EV's charging port. Ensure the connection is secure by gently pushing until you hear a click or the latch locks in place.
  5. Check the Tesla Destination Charger to ensure it is active and supplying power. You can also check your EV's dashboard or charging indicator lights to confirm the charging process has started.
  6. Once your EV is fully charged or you're ready to stop charging, release the J1772 connector from your EV's charging port by pressing the release button or latch on the connector, and gently pulling the plug out.
  7. Next, disconnect the Tesla-compatible end of the adapter from the Tesla Destination Charger connector.
  8. Finally, return the Tesla connector to its designated holder at the charging station.

Remember to always follow the charging station's guidelines and any applicable safety precautions when charging your vehicle.
